Tooth Extractions

In some cases, tooth evacuation (complete tooth removal) may be the only option to preserve your oral and general wellbeing.

We lead an exhaustive dental appraisal before choosing a reasonable treatment. Our dentists may decide that extraction may be the only option if you show the following symptoms:

  • dental infections or decay

  • injury or accident to the tooth

  • wisdom teeth complications

  • preparation for a dental prosthesis

  • aftermath of chemotherapy

At the Essential Dental, our dentists perform two main types of tooth extractions: simple extraction is done when the tooth requiring removal is still visible, local anesthesia is given to minimize discomfort, while surgical extraction is performed when the tooth has not fully erupted or is broken below the gumline; general anesthesia is administered prior to the procedure
